Trade is the lifeblood of the global economy, creating opportunities and improving the quality of life for millions of people around the world. DP World is here to make trade flow better, changing what’s possible for the customers and communities we serve globally. With more than 106,500 employees across 73 countries, we are pushing trade further and faster toward a seamless supply chain that’s fit for the future. By integrating our physical infrastructure with cutting-edge technology, we create efficient end-to-end solutions, pushing the sector towards better ways to trade, minimising disruptions from the factory floor to the customer’s door.

In November 2003, DP World was awarded a long-term concession to operate Constanta South Container Terminal and in 2004 started operations as a state-of-the-art facility with excellent deep-draft access located near the entrance to Constanta port. This was the first investment made by DP World in Europe. Since then, the maritime terminal expanded to encompass two new terminals: an RO-RO terminal and a Project Cargo one, growing from 322.000 sqm to 800.000 sqm.

Beginning in 2024, our infrastructure in Romania expanded outside the maritime port borders with the new Aiud Intermodal Terminal situated in the industrial Western part of Romania.

Today, DP World in Romania integrates best-in-class facilities, multi-modal transport solutions, digital solutions, and market access capabilities into seamless end-to-end supply chains. Our logistics division with enhanced freight forwarding capacities creates new ways to take goods to market – making trade flow better. This approach lets our customers focus on what they do best, leaving us to move our customers’ goods from A to B in the best way possible.
