DP World Tarragona is very well positioned to pursue growth as a significant gateway for Spain and a Mediterranean hub for global shipping services. Tarragona Port currently handles 100% origin and destination cargo. It serves the hinterland of Northern and Central Spain and has the potential to expand, attracting cargo seeking alternatives to nearby ports. In the immediate port hinterland, both import and export cargo is readily available from numerous multi-national petro-chemical companies; amongst others, who have regional distribution centres close by. A number of Spain's major wine exporting areas are also within this catchment.

Tarragona benefits from a deep-water port, strong expansion potential and adjacent logistic centres that support it. In addition there is excellent road and rail connectivity to Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid and Spanish hinterland markets like Zaragoza. The facility boasts some of the best refrigerated warehousing and logistics operations in Spain, located within the port complex close to our terminal.
