Amelia has over 17 years of experience as a solicitor with more than a decade of that time working as General Counsel in maritime companies. Prior to joining DP World in Oceania, Amelia worked at P&O Ferries and her remit included leading the legal, compliance, risk, insurance and ESG functions. She was also company secretary of all P&O Group entities. She has also worked at Ardmore Shipping, a NYSE listed international tanker ship owner and operator.
Before she went in-house, Amelia worked at leading Sydney boutique law firms as a corporate, commercial, property solicitor, including as Senior Associate in Salvos Legal, an award-winning law firm wholly-owned by the Salvation Army in a “world first” not-for-profit – where work performed by the commercial team of the law firm directly supported the work performed by the pro-bono team.
