Commercial Manager

DP World is a leading global logistics company with more than 100,000 employees in some 75 countries. As a container terminal operator, DP World has been active in the port of Antwerp for many years. Recent acquisitions and investments have added various logistics activities to the Group's portfolio in Belgium. 

On a newly acquired concession in the port of Zeebrugge, DP World has started the development of a car terminal. To help lead the development and growth of this activity, we are looking for a Commercial Manager.

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree and 5 to 10 years’ experience in a commercial position within the ports, shipping or logistics industry
• Thorough understanding of RoRo and/or Finished Vehicle Logistics are a bonus  
• Fluency in Dutch and English 
• Ability to work independently and travel frequently as part of the role 
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills 
• Established network of relevant professional contacts
• Business and financial acumen with experience in P&L management and revenue forecasting 
• Self-starter mindset, down-to-earth and pragmatic approach 

How you will contribute

• Develop and implement sales plans to increase revenue and market share 
• Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities 
• Lead negotiations for pricing, contracts, and service level agreements with clients
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and customer needs to develop informed strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, OEMs, logistics providers, and port authorities
• Work closely with Operations to ensure customer satisfaction through effective service delivery and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide input for budget forecasts, pricing strategies, and financial reports
• Ensure adherence to port rules, HSSE policies, and customs and trade regulations
