Strategically located close to industrial hubs in Southern Africa, our facility in Maputo has become a core gateway to region’s vast economic hinterland.

The Maputo container terminal has created new global connections for our customers in the region, following an investment of $90 million (USD) that has increased efficiency and reduced vessel waiting times. As the second phase of development continues, we aim to have an annual capacity of 1 million TEUs (Twenty Foot Equivalent Units) in the medium term.

Through a significant expansion and modernization process, the Maputo facility has become one of the most modern terminals in the country, providing customers with a new gateway to South Africa via the Maputo Corridor.
