Meet Ahmed Al Hammadi, DP World’s Initiator of Tomorrow

Today, we would like to introduce Ahmed Al Hammadi who lives in Dubai, UAE. Ahmed leads Dubai Maritime City (DMC), DP World’s purpose-built leading maritime centre for commercial and industrial industries, where he has excelled in his career and has also led the operations at P&O Maritime with crucial projects.

Our new developments under Ahmed’s leadership consist of developments of deep sewage, stormwater, fire, irrigation, potable water, telecommunication, and road networks– to name a few. The new promenade is integrated within the Mina Rashid area that includes the QE2 Hotel, P&O Marinas and Marina Cubes. Not only do all of these new critical developments make the area more efficient, but will also give DMC an effective and long-term infrastructure to assist the modern business community and cement its position as a multi-purpose maritime hub.

Through these significant developments, Ahmed aims for DMC to support the Dubai Maritime Vision 2030, developed to regulate and promote the local maritime industry while reinforcing Dubai’s position as a world-class, premier international maritime hub. Currently, over eighty per cent of the developed area is occupied by workshops, warehouses, retail outlets, shops, and plots. In the near future, special infrastructure will be built to build superyachts and repair wooden dhow boats.

Ahmed currently manages the Global Innovation Project at P&O Maritime and leading DMC to become the perfect base for trade and tourism with a goal to encourage the next generation to build for the future.
