DP World Antwerp changes management structure
Date: 08/07/2019
This summer, DP World Antwerp is changing its organizational structure to further strengthen its core activities and ensure its future strategy. Rob Harrison, CEO DP World Antwerp: “To further focus on services to our customers and on more efficient work processes, we are announcing some shifts within our organization. As a result, we will also strengthen our competences in the field of new developments and services in the logistics market. In addition, a number of new profiles will be attracted."
Tom Mortelmans will be the new Chief Operations Officer of DP World Antwerp and will therefore be at the head of the operations and technical department of Antwerp Gateway. He will also be in charge of process optimization. Before he became Director HSSE - his position until now - Tom Mortelmans was already in charge of the terminal operations at the start-up of Antwerp Gateway in 2005. The position of Director HSSE is being opened up and will be held ad interim by Suzanne Kwanten, currently environmental coordinator. Tony Filibert, formerly head of operations, is in charge of the commercial governance as Chief Commercial Officer. During his career as a COO at DP World, Tony Filibert built up a solid relationship with clients and partners over many years. In his new position, he is assisted by Chief Business Officer Steve Declercq, who takes responsibility for all non-shipping-related activities, including the development of new business activities, end user solutions, train products and the management of the Container Freight Station and the HUPAC rail terminal.
