About DP World Sokhna
In 2008, Sokhna Port, which belongs to the economical jurisdiction of the Suez Canal joined the DP World family. This has positioned DP World as an important station on the map of the global ports network.
Wherever we operate, we integrate sustainability and responsible corporate citizenship into our activities, striving for a positive contribution to the economies and communities where we live and work.
Our dedicated, diverse, and professional team of more than 1000 employees has proven commitment to delivering unrivaled value to our customers and partners. This helped the Sokhna Port become one of the largest, strongest, and most efficient ports on the Red Sea; acting as the main gateway for trade in Egypt.
The port is comprised of 3 basins with a holding capacity of 1.75 million TEUs, with unique capabilities of handling all kinds of solid and liquid shipments. It also offers an improved infrastructure, encompassing new facilities and services with the latest information technology and means of communication necessary to direct the surge of shipments in the most efficient way possible.
Being close to the southern entrance of the Suez Canal, DP World Sokhna is also able to use its strategic geographic location in becoming a portal between Egypt, Asia, and East Africa. This makes an additional reason to support the effectiveness of its customer supply chain with competent management of containers and cargo shipments and more.
