Retrofitting Rubber Tire Gantry Cranes (RTGs)
We're upgrading our RTGs with battery or supercapacitor solutions and making infrastructure improvements to reduce emissions from our equipment.
Hydrogen Fuel Cell Retrofits and Electric Equipment
We're adding hydrogen fuel cells to more RTGs and introducing electric ITVs, FCHs, and Reach Stackers to improve sustainability.
Infrastructure Improvements
We are upgrading our infrastructure to support new, cleaner equipment at all locations, including charging stations and zero-emission technologies.
OUR COMMITMENT TO ZERO EMISSIONS
At DP World in Canada, our commitment to a sustainable future is unwavering. We are dedicated to significantly reducing our carbon footprint and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Here are the key milestones in our journey:
50% Reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 Emissions by 2030: We are on track to halve our direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) emissions by the end of this decade. This includes emissions from our operations and energy consumption.
28% Reduction in Scope 3 Emissions by 2030: Our goal extends to our supply chain, aiming for a 28% reduction in Scope 3 emissions. This involves working closely with our partners to ensure sustainable practices across the board.
Carbon Neutrality Across All Scopes by 2040: By 2040, we aim to achieve carbon neutrality across all emission scopes, covering our direct, indirect, and supply chain emissions.
Net Zero by 2050: Our ultimate target is to reach net zero by 2050, ensuring a sustainable and eco-friendly future for generations to come.
