This survey-driven report, which polled 100 executives and managers from across the shipping, freight forwarding, and logistics sectors, highlights the significant shift from extended global supply networks to more focused, regional models.

This complete industry report offers a deep dive into the strategic shifts and economic implications for businesses operating within the Americas.
Strategic Planning: 92% of survey respondents consider dedicated supply chains across the Americas to be increasingly critical to strategic planning, with half considering them “very important.”
Latin American Hubs: Respondents view South America as a burgeoning market for U.S. corporations aiming to streamline operations and enhance supply chain efficiency. 88% said that South America’s market potential is influencing their organizations’ future planning.
Operational Challenges: Fluctuating shipping costs (36%), delays in cargo transit (31%), and customs clearance (15%) as the top three issues causing significant operational challenges.
Nearshoring Boom: The nearshoring boom in Mexico, along with rising industrial activities in Colombia and Costa Rica, underscores a robust shift towards diversifying supply chain operations within the region.
